Kissan Card Phase 2: Punjab Farmers Get Rs 3 Lakh Interest-Free Loan

Good news for farmers in Punjab! Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched Kissan Card Phase 2, and this time, the loan limit has been doubled. Now, farmers can get up to Rs 3 lakh as an interest-free loan to support their farming needs.

Let’s break it down simply so every farmer can understand what’s new and how to apply.

What’s Special in Kissan Card Phase 2?

In this new phase, the Punjab government has increased the loan amount from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. This means more money for buying important things like:

  • Seeds

  • Fertilizers

  • Pesticides

  • Sprays

  • Other farm supplies

Out of this Rs 3 lakh, 20% can be used to buy diesel, which is great for managing fuel costs during planting and harvesting.

Also, farmers can now take out 30% of the loan in cash—that’s up to Rs 90,000. This cash can help them manage urgent farm needs quickly.

Extra Support for Wheat Farmers

Wheat farmers are getting even more help. If you grow wheat, the government will give you Rs 5,000 per acre. If you have 5 acres, that’s a total of Rs 25,000 directly from the government.

Plus, there’s a Rs 10 billion subsidy on 9,500 tractors to help more farmers buy farming machines at lower prices.

No Fees, No Deductions

One of the best parts? There are no processing fees or extra charges. You will get the full Rs 3 lakh loan—nothing will be cut from it. This makes sure every farmer gets full support.

  • You own 1 to 12.5 acres of land
